Dear Fellow Riders,

July is here and so are the HOT temperatures!  I hope you all had a great July 4th Holiday!  What a blessed people our country has been.

HERE ARE A FEW OF THE UPCOMING EVENTS IN OUR AREA:

Friday, JULY 9th at The Bulldog QUICK SNACK – This is our Carolina Faith Riders regular meeting night (the 2nd Friday of each month) in Boiling Springs, NC beginning at 6:00 PM.  Please plan to come and bring someone with you.  YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A FAITH RIDER MEMBER TO ATTEND!

SONIC BIKE NIGHT in Forest City NC continues on each Tuesday of the month from 6:30 until 8:00.  This is sponsored by the Carolina Faith Riders of West Point Baptist and Campfield Memorial Baptist Church.  Come out for some good food and door prizes!

SONIC BIKE NIGHT in Shelby NC continues every Thursday evening at 6:00.  This is sponsored by the Bikers for Christ of Crestview Baptist Church.

JULY 17th – WINGS OF EAGLES CRUSE IN – at Abundant Life Church behind the Cleveland Mall in Shelby NC.  This event starts at 11 AM until….  Music by 3:16.  See attached flyer for more information.

JULY 17th at 4:00 PM – CHRISTMAS IN JULY TOY RUN - The Windjammers of Shelby, NC will be having their Christmas In July Toy Run.  The bikes will leave from the Cleveland Mall at 4:00 PM.  I will forward a flyer on this event as soon as I get it.

JULY 25TH – The 6th Annual Antique Bikes on Main in downtown Chesnee, SC from 12 noon until.  Admission is FREE and everyone and all bikes welcome.  This will be the same date as our next Bike Sunday.   We can ride down after our morning worship service, catch some lunch, and check out all the bikes. 

JULY 31st  – CRUSIN’ FOR KRISTEN ELLENBURG – This is a car and bike show at Green Hill Store to benefit Kristen Ellenburg.  The event starts at 9 AM with plenty of food, door prizes, and music.  See attached flyer for more information.

 AUGUST 14TH – DIAPER DASH for HANDS of HOPE FOR LIFE – This event will take place at Second Baptist Church in Rutherfordton.  This is a motorcycle ride, BBQ lunch, and gospel singing to benefit the Hands of Hope for Life pregnancy resource center of Forest City, NC (www.hh4life.org).  See attached flyer for more information.

2nd ANNUAL BIKE DAY @ CAMPFIELD MEMORIAL CHURCH will be August 28, 2010.  Direct Message (www.directmessage.org) will again be providing the music.  Chris Polley from the Freedom Biker Church of Hickory will be speaking.  BikerDownWNC and the Carolina Faith Riders will also be there.  There will be plenty of free bar-b-que, drinks, and door prizes.  A new part of this year’s event will be a ride from our church to the City Park in Shelby, NC to participate in the community awareness event for One On One Care (www.oneononecare.net).  See the attach flyer for more information!

CAROLINA FAITH RIDERS in NASCAR - Please continue to follow the JD Motorsports #01 car driven by Mike Wallace in the NASCAR Nationwide series.  Photos that I recently took at the team’s race shop will soon be posted on the Carolina Faith Riders page of our church’s website (www.campfieldmemorialbaptistchurch.org).

CAROLINA FAITH RIDERS BIBLE STUDY CLASS continues to meet each Sunday morning at 10 AM at our church.  If you are look for a Bible study in a relaxed atmosphere, come join us.  Ride your bike or drive your vehicle but come as you are.  Every Sunday is Biker Sunday - jeans and leathers are welcomed!
